Getting rid of the Fall Armyworm

Maize is one of the most strategic crops in Egypt. During field visits by one of the CASC staff members, which also coincided with the maize planting season, it was reported that the crops were infested with Fall Armyworm.

The CASC staff member conducted multiple field visits to count and identify infected land in the villages of El-Zoe’r and Bani Khaled. Accordingly, the Rural Development Program guided farmers to use different kinds of pesticides in order to remove the infestation. As a result, the land productivity was preserved.
